The film director Toti Baches. The filmmaker from Lleida based in Germany presented her new documentary, Red Cunt , on Friday, May 27, 2022, at 7 PM at Cines Girona. It was a documentary that combines animated scenes with testimonial voices from feminist activists to break the taboos surrounding menstruation. This was the first part of a trilogy that will continue with a documentary about masturbation and another about menopause.
Now she is coming to our SeDe in Alcorcón to film a documentary about the taboo of male masturbation and group masturbation.
Why does our Club allow a documentary directed by a woman to be filmed?
We believe that masturbation is more than just a taboo for this hypocritical society; 99% of the world's population, both men and women, masturbate.
Difficulty in financing it: "They told her the topic wasn't interesting enough."
Toti says "I didn't find any public funding, despite having submitted ten applications to different institutions around the world. They told me the topic wasn't interesting enough to reach theaters. How shameless! How can this topic not be interesting?" says the director, who, on the other hand, highlights the "great achievement" of getting the documentary to theaters, something she thanks the distributor Toned Media for being "the only one," she says, "who dared to take the risk." "Normally, films like this don't make it to theaters," she laments.
Toti Baches usually films her interviews and documentaries with women; in this case, since no women are allowed in our SeDe, she will be filming with men.
