Our Actions to Fight Against the Taboo of Masturbation.
OUR HISTORY
“Genitals should not be touched” is something we have always been told since childhood. However, 98% of men and 72% of women masturbate, which is now a reality that is part of the life and habits of our society. Masturbation continues to be a topic that is not openly discussed in general. Touching oneself to achieve orgasm, pleasure, and sexual self-satisfaction is something very private. “It has always been done, but it is a behavior that is not displayed. It belonged to the realm of the intimate. The act of masturbation, and especially sex in adulthood and old age, remains a taboo subject, an uncomfortable topic. Therefore, in 2015, we decided to take action and begin our journey.
It all started in 2013 when a couple of "masturbators" with open minds had the idea to create the blog tecnicasdemasturbacion.es, with the intention of breaking the taboo of masturbation, and in 2015 we created groups to find like-minded men for mutual masturbation. A long time ago, when we were more innocent, when there was no internet or mobile phones. All we had were some magazines, movies, and the Friday night porn session on Canal +. We shared experiences, information, researched, while we masturbated together without thinking about the sexual orientation of the person next to us.
After the success of the meetings, in 2018, we went to the United States, aware of the existence of several mutual masturbation clubs, New York and San Francisco host two venerable Jacks clubs, (established in 1980 and 1983) that were born as a consequence of the deadly AIDS virus. This model has been imitated and spread. There we sought advice to bring it to our country, currently with locations in Madrid, Bilbao.
After much meditation, knowing the uproar it would cause, I dare to use social media to break the taboo of masturbation. After a pandemic where people practiced sex through a screen. In March 2022, I inaugurated the first masturbation club in Spain, pajasentrecolegas.es
With the ambition and passion to give more meaning to our bodies, I decided to join forces with my team of volunteers and create a very simple solution: we are going to connect a web portal with suitable people and businesses to combat the taboo of masturbation, do something good while enjoying it, let’s break this hypocrisy, this shame. Think about it: calling someone a “masturbator” is an insult. We are using a term that refers to masturbation as a way to insult someone. Using this term is an example of internalized shame. Shame gets in the way of our enjoyment. One of the first areas we will explore is shame. As you learn to accept your practice without shame, you can transform your practice into a truly satisfying experience.
At Pajas entre colegas, we do not judge others for their actions and do not restrict any member from expressing their sexuality.

The Legal Battle
Social prejudice hinders our meeting activities, which, after complaints from neighbors, have halted events at the venue until we achieved registration as an association. The goal of this is to safeguard the anonymity of attendees, by preventing the police from entering what would be considered a “private meeting.”
Despite the legal victory, the fight for the freedom of assembly continues our battle in Argüelles
While we celebrate the victory in the first legal battle, the PEC community in Argüelles continues to face a series of discriminatory obstacles to exercise their fundamental right to assemble.
Our meetings, held twice a week, are peaceful and respectful. We strive to maintain harmonious coexistence with the community, being discreet and responsible. However, we encounter a series of unjustifiable hurdles:
- Vandalism: Our signage on the door frame has been repeatedly damaged, with no measures taken to identify those responsible.
- Pressure on the owner: The landlord has been coerced into terminating our contract, jeopardizing our meeting space.
- Discriminatory control: Access control to the building has been implemented with private security, where only we are required to identify ourselves, while other visitors and family members are not subjected to the same measure.
- Baseless complaints: We have been reported to the police for not having an activity license, despite not needing one as we are not a venue open to the general public.

These discriminatory actions not only violate our rights, but also create an atmosphere of hostility and fear. We cannot allow ourselves to be silenced or have our right to freedom of assembly limited, a fundamental pillar of democracy.
Therefore, we continue our fight with firmness and determination:
- Legal resources: We are exhausting all legal avenues to defend our right to assemble and protect ourselves from discrimination.
- Awareness: We inform the community about the situation through various channels, seeking their support and understanding.
- Mobilization: We organize peaceful actions to highlight the injustice we are experiencing and claim our rights.
We call on the community to join our fight:
- Express your support: Share our story on social media, sign our petition, and participate in our activities.
- Report discrimination: Do not stay silent in the face of injustices. Make your voice heard and demand respect for everyone’s rights.
- Join the community: Attend our meetings and get to know our work firsthand. Together we can build a fairer and more inclusive society.
No to discrimination.
Yes to freedom of assembly.
Together, we will build a better future.
